About Istanbul Galata University
Istanbul Galata University is a private university located in Istanbul, that first opened its doors in the year 2020. The university The Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Faculty of Sport Sciences, Vocational School, and Graduate Education Institute make up our university. In the 2020-2021 academic year, students will be admitted to eight undergraduate and five associate degree programs.
He devoted his life to teaching, saying, “Education is the most important seed.” Plant this seed wherever you go, and don’t worry about the rest. Mehmet Bulut, an educator and entrepreneur who began in 2010 but died unexpectedly in 2013, instructed his daughter Nilüfer Bulut, “All my labor efforts were for education, put it into effect.” His educational legacy has taken on its current form as a result of this bequest, and the Bulut Education endowment has come to life. Education in a 144-YEAR-OLD BUILDING! In an historical environment.
Patrocloss Michail Campanakis designed the 144-year-old historical house in Istanbul’s işhane neighborhood, which served as the home of the Tubini family, who moved from Chios Island and were Galata Bankers.
For a long period, it served as the headquarters of Galata Bankers.
Between 1890 through 1918, it was the German-run Hotel Kroecker.
The hotel was taken over by the occupation troops in 1918, and British intelligence officer John Godolphin Bennet transformed it into the occupying forces’ intelligence headquarters.
With the withdrawal of the British Forces in 1922, Hotel Kroecker was split in two.
In the Galata building, the Istanbul City Conservatory and then the Foto Sander factory functioned after 1935.
Istanbul Galata University will begin its educational life in 2020 in this beautiful structure, which was transformed into a center of business by the Chamber of Industry in 1958.
