SHORT TERM RESIDENCE PERMIT IN TURKEY
Sections 31 to 33 of the Legislation on Immigrants and Legal Security No. 6458 concern short-term residency permits. In addition, a short-term residency permit has been given in the 28th and 29th sections of the Law on the Application of the Foreigners and External Security Act.
Who are the foreigners whose residency permit may be given for a short term?

FAMILY RESIDENCE PERMIT IN TURKEY
Family residence permit is governed in Articles 34-37 of the Foreigners Act and International Protection Law No. 6458 In addition, family residence permit is governed in Articles 30-34 of the Foreigners and International Protection Law Enforcement Legislation.
Who will apply to a residency permit for the family?
Family residence permit can be issued to:
- foreign spouse
- foreign children or foreign minor children of their spouse
- dependent foreign children or international dependent children of their spouse, Turkish residents, individuals within the meaning of Article 28 of Law No 5901 or foreigners keeping a residence permit as well as refugees and subsidiary security beneficiaries.
In the case of a polygamous union in the country of residency, a family residence certificate shall be given only to one of the partners under the law. Nevertheless, the foreigner’s children can be granted a family residency permit by other partners.
The permission of the mother or parent who resides overseas and who shares the custody shall be required for family residence permits given to infants, if any.
Family residence permits, without receiving a student residence permit, shall grant the holder right to education in primary and secondary educational establishments until the age of 18.

STUDENT RESIDENCE PERMIT IN TURKEY
Student Residence Permit can given to Students studying at Universities in Turkey. Rights Granted by Long Term Residence Permit in Turkey
Foreigners holding a long-term residency permit can possess the same privileges as Turkish nationals, with the exception of special laws and mandatory military service, the right to vote and be elected, public service entry and exemption from customs duties while importing vehicles.
What are the reasons for denial, cancelation or non-renewal of residency permits for long term stays?
When the immigrant is revoked a long-term residency permit:

HUMANITARIAN RESIDENCE PERMIT IN TURKEY
Humanitarian residency permit is regulated by Articles 46 and 47 of the Foreigners and External Security Act No. 6458.
In fact, the humanitarian residency permit is regulated by Article 44 of the Foreigners and International Security Act Compliance Order.
Who is eligible to apply for Humanitarian Residency Permit in Turkey?

RESIDENCE PERMIT FOR VICTIMS OF HUMAN TRAFFICKING IN TURKEY
The residency permit for victims of trafficking in human beings shall be regulated by Sections 48 to 49 of the Foreigners Act and the International Security Law No. 6458.

Documents for residency permits come under the category of valuable papers in compliance with the Legislation on Valuable Papers No. 210 and are subject to a request fee determined annually by the Ministry of Finance. Report fee exception does not extend to citizens of any country.
RESIDENCE PERMIT DOCUMENT and APPLICATION FEE

The above-mentioned residency permit fees apply to residents of Serbia, Fiji, Norway, Northern Mariana who are not members of any community of countries.
No changes have been made to the payments depending on the country categories on the www.goc.gov.tr website and are calculated as of 2011 according to the reciprocity principle.
As of 2011, in keeping with the policy of reciprocity, Czech Republic, Iceland, Estonia, Kosovo, Morocco, Sri Lanka, Iraq, and Turkmenistan have been removed from residency permit payments.
