Students planning to Study in Turkey must first obtain a student visa from the Turkish Republic Consulate in their region. Since student visa procedures can take time, you should apply for a student visa as soon as you receive your acceptance letter.

After your admission at your university in Turkey, you can easily apply online for a Student Visa in Turkey and book a personal appointment at a Turkish Embassy near you.

Within 10 days of entering Turkey, all foreign students, regardless of status, must register and receive a Residence Permit (Ikamet) from the Istanbul Provincial Immigration Administration Office.

Student Visa for Turkey & Student Residence Permit

Directly after your enrollment at the university, make sure you apply for the Student Residence Permit within 10 Days. Foreigners are not allowed to stay in Turkey for more then 3 Months.

Turkish Student Visa Cost & Fees

Students who wish to attend any higher education institution in Turkey must first obtain a “student visa” before arriving in the country. The Republic of Turkey International Representative of the foreign student’s country of citizenship or country of residency with a residence permit issues the student visa. Foreign nationals who are applying for a student visa in Turkey must send a “University Admission Letter” from their chosen university to Turkey’s Foreign Representative. Student visas must be entered in the student’s passport, and anyone who enter Turkey on a visa exemption or other form of visa without first obtaining a student visa will not be registered.

Foreign students with a student visa who enroll in a university in Turkey must apply for a residency permit for educational purposes. The length of a student visa granted by the Republic of Turkey’s Foreign Office varies from country to country. Student visas are given in 30-day or 90-day increments. Before the end of this time, the foreign student must apply for a residency permit for educational purposes with the Directorate of Immigration Administration in the province or district where he or she resides.

Foreign students can apply for a visa at the Turkish Consulate and also apply for an electronic visa online.

Visa Applications to the Turkish Consulate

Foreign students must apply to the Turkish consulate in person. Certain documents are required by the consulate. The aforementioned documents are given below.

  • Passport (The validity period must be at least 6 months.)
  • Visa application form (must be signed by the Pakistani citizen applying.)
  • Biometric photo (taken within the last 6 months and must have a white background.
  • Document showing the economic status of the applicant and the inviting person (payroll, bank account statement)
  • Book a flight
  • Hotel reservation or invitation letter (invitation letter must be prepared by the person residing in Turkey.)
  • A commitment document stating that the Pakistani citizen applying for a visa will return to his country
  • Travel health insurance covering the stay and return in Turkey with a minimum coverage of 30,000 Euros

On the day of the appointment, the above-mentioned documents must be presented at the Turkish consulate. The full and accurate preparation of the documents is critical. If any mistakes are discovered, your visa application can be rejected. The visa fee for a single entry into Turkey in 2021 is 758.90 TL. It costs 2.542,20 TL to submit an application for multiple entries.

Electronic Visa Application

To apply for an electronic visa online, international students must meet certain requirements. These requirements are outlined below. A minimum of $ 50 is required for the return flight, hotel reservation, and each day of stay. Your passport should be valid for the length of your stay in Turkey. Visas and residence permits for Shengen countries, as well as visas and residence permits for the United States, Ireland, and the United Kingdom. (The visit to Turkey must be included in the visa or residency permit.)

Requirements for a Student Visa in Turkey

A student residence permit is given to foreigners who will attend a higher education institution in Turkey to pursue an undergraduate, bachelor’s, master’s, or doctorate degree.

With the permission of their parents or legal representatives, foreigners who will obtain education in a primary and secondary education institution and whose treatment and all expenses will be covered by a natural or legal individual may be permitted and extended for one year during their education.

A student’s residence permit does not grant the student’s parents or other relatives the right to apply for a residence permit.

If the education period is shorter than one year, the student residence permit cannot last longer than the education period.

Foreign students studying in our country via various public institutions and organizations may be given a student residence permit for the duration of their studies.

Residence Permit for Students in Turkey

After receiving a student visa from the Turkish embassy, a residence permit is also needed.

Students have to apply for the Student Residence Permit in Turkey within one month after arrival.

It is necessary to obtain a student residence permit, also known as a student residence permit, for the purpose of staying with a visa or exemption duration for which the purpose of education is insufficient.

Foreigners who will stay longer than the stated duration of their visa or visa exemption, or for more than 90 days, must receive a residency permit for foreigners who will stay longer than the specified period of their visa or visa exemption.
